MFT Portability Bill LB 257

At this Nebraska Legislature, LB 257 is introduced. It is our marriage and family therapists’ portability bill. Please access LB 257. I shall soon seek your letters of support for the public hearing. Thank you.

You would notice the language is in the context of the statutes pertaining to Reciprocity. FYI Reciprocity is a formal agreement between states to accept licenses and it is a subset of portability. Portability is the ability to take an individual’s qualification for licensure in one state and apply them for licensure in another state whether there is an agreement in place or not.
