NAMFT Elections (2022)
Nominations for multiple NAMFT board and committee member positions are open.
Elections will be held in December 2022 and positions begin in January 2023.
Positions Available:
President-Elect (2-year term)
Attend bi-monthly board meetings; shadows the president as s/he learns duties of the president
Discuss, provide input/ideas/tasks into the business of NAMFT-recruiting new members, financial report/planning, legislative issues, conference planning, website management, MFT student relations, plans elections, and more.
Voting member of the board
Position begins January 1, 2023
Treasurer (3-year term)
Attend bi-monthly board meetings to discuss provide input/ideas/tasks into the business of NAMFT-recruiting new members, financial report/planning, legislative issues, conference planning, website management, MFT student relations, plans elections, and more.
Collect and disburse all association funds under Board of Directors’ direction
Keep books and accounts of the association
Make bank deposits
Prepare an annual budget
Provide books for audit every three years

Position begins January 1, 2023
Student Representative/Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner Member (2-year term)
Attend bi-monthly board meetings to discuss provide input/ideas/tasks into the business of NAMFT-recruiting new members, financial report/planning, legislative issues, conference planning, website management, MFT student relations, plans elections, and more.

Member-at-Large/Conference Committee (3-year term; Three positions)
Attend bi-monthly board meetings to discuss provide input/ideas/tasks into the business of NAMFT-recruiting new members, financial report/planning, legislative issues, conference planning, website management, MFT student relations, plans elections, and more.

One may be provisionally licensed
Legislative Chair (3-year term)
Attend bi-monthly board meetings to discuss provide input/ideas/tasks into the business of NAMFT-recruiting new members, financial report/planning, legislative issues, conference planning, website management, MFT student relations, plans elections, and more.
Lead the legislative committee
Monitor legislative developments
Make recommendations to the Board as to potential legislative action to be taken
Provide leadership in promoting and passing desirable legislation as endorsed by the Board
Keep informed of national legislation and events as they affect marriage and family therapists and NAMFT
