New PLMHP Law
I am happy to report that the Legislature advanced AM 2509 on Final Reading today. It is the bill that intends to speed up the application to become PLMHP. It is heading to the Governor’s Desk today and shall be signed within the next five days.
The bill does not have an emergency clause, so the bill will go into effect three months after the Governor signs it into law.
FYR This is the amendment to LB932, introduced by Senator John Fredrickson, social worker.
AM 2509 allows “The application may be submitted up to ninety days prior to the date of the applicant’s graduation from the required course of study. “
It is pursuant to the Uniform Credentialing Act, hence applicable to every profession.
